What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
Annual billing gives you a 17% discount compared to monthly billing — that's 2 months free! You'll be charged once per year instead of monthly. You can switch between billing cycles at any time from your account settings.
Are electronic signatures legally binding?
Yes. CertaintySign's electronic signatures are legally binding under the ESIGN Act, UETA, and eIDAS. We capture all required data including timestamps, IP addresses, and geolocation to ensure full compliance.
How does per-user pricing work?
All paid plans are priced per user per month. Each user who needs to send, sign, or manage documents counts as one seat. Signers who only receive and sign documents (external recipients) do not count toward your user limit. You only pay for active team members who use the platform.
What counts as a 'user' for billing purposes?
A user is anyone in your organization who logs into CertaintySign to create, send, or manage documents. External signers (clients, customers, partners) who only receive documents to sign are free and unlimited. This means you can send documents to thousands of recipients without additional charges.
How does billing change when my team grows or shrinks?
When you add users, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. When you remove users, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. You can manage team members anytime from your dashboard without contacting support.
Do you offer volume discounts for larger teams?
Yes! We offer automatic volume discounts: 10% off for 10+ users, 15% off for 25+ users, 20% off for 50+ users, and 25% off for 100+ users. These discounts are applied automatically and stack with annual billing savings. Use our Team Size Calculator above to see your exact pricing.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. For annual subscriptions, we offer prorated refunds within the first 30 days.
